We ate with Sharks!!

Last week Shag, Aleah, and I went to the Aquarium Restaurant while we were at the mall. Aleah could not eat her lunch for the pointing out the sharks to us. How sweet she is!! She had so many questions about the fish. The seahorse salt and pepper shaker was her favorite!

Of course, we had to go to Bass Pro Shop. I believe Aleah had more fun in that store than on a playground. She loved that BIG buck!!

Things I have made for Momma and Daddy

I have enjoyed looking at everything Aleah is making this year for Christmas. Aleah had a Christmas Party at preschool Thursday, and she made this Christmas tree. At church today, the children got to exchange gifts with each other. During children's time, the teachers helped the children make cookies for their parents. I think she got hungry before she brought them to us. She had the best time.

What do you want for Christmas!!

Aleah made this at preschool last week. She has had so much fun pretending to be Santa and asking everyone what they want for Christmas. Aleah is so excited about Christmas this year. Every day she ask IS IT CHRISTMAS YET!!

Our Christmas Tree

This is our Christmas tree in the sunroom. I have been so busy with everything else, that I still do not have everything up. This sunroom has been the best investment we have ever made. My front porch is decorated, except for the wreath which is still in the attic.
This is Holly's favorite ornament. She loves penguins!! I had a penguin ornament made...boy I hope she does not read this before Christmas!!

This is another ornament that is special to Holly, because she played the french horn several years in band.
Every year I have received ornaments from my students at school. Here are a few!!

This ornament was given to Aleah from someone at church the year she was born. It is so special!!

Snow! Snow! So Soon!!

I could not believe Shag woke me early this Saturday morning, my morning to sleep in, to tell me we had snow. He ask me to make sure I took Aleah out to play, because he had to go to work. We did just that!! We first got the sled out that Holly had when she was a little girl. We played until both of us had a red nose, and our hands and feet were frozen. Then we were off to see the Christmas Parade up town. The parade was wonderful.. Honoring the military!!

This was taken from the sunroom. It is amazing how beautiful, and it all comes from God.

Ready Set Go!!
Look at that face!! Weeeee!! She will always remember this day.

This girl loves her boots. Check these out.

Our Thanksgiving Day!!

My momma and Tom decided to try something different this year. They decided to have Thanksgiving Dinner at Cracker Barrel..well it was really Tom's idea. However, he tried to say it was momma's idea, not his. We got their about 10:45 a.m.,
and the parking lot was completely full with cars parking in the grass. I believe everyone was thinking like Tom. We actually parked across the road and walked across to the restaurant. When we finally reached the door, the BIG surprise was inside. Completely no moving around at all and an hour and a half wait. I belive this is the reason Tom blamed Momma, and she stook the blame. It was so funny watching and listedning to them talk. The food was delicious, and it was worth the wait!! Momma and Holly were inside just about the entire time, so I did not get any pictures of them. The rest of us braved the cool weather outside.

Aleah on the way to food. Not knowing their would be a wait of about 2 hours.
My 2 girls actually getting alone and not fussing. My girls holding hands..oh my!! How sweet they can be to each other at times. Sorry Holly I need photography lessons!!
"Nan Tom" holding Aleah and waiting patiently to eat. He did great considering the wait and that he is not a patient person . I just wonder what is going through her little head.

This is Aleah's favorite ...her Daddy!!

Do I see a checker player coming on!! She didn't play fair according to Tom or was she winning!!

First REAL Birthday Party

Aleah was invited to her First Birthday Party. They were asked to wear a costume if they perferred. I had Aleah's fairy costume out, but she saw her cowboots and wanted to wear them. How she loves her little red boots!!! These children were so cute trying to rope a plastic bull and each other, shooting at a target with a laser gun, and running up and down steps. The decorations was of girly girl colors with a western scenery.

Aleah and her dad eating finger food before she headed off to play.

How about these girls!! Aleah and the Birthday Girl had a blast.
Miss Aleah thought she would try to pull this bull loaded with children. She did not have much luck with this plan.

The Birthday Girl was beautiful with her little outfit on!! They sure did enjoy eating cake after all of the playing. Two little girls caught in the act!! They decided to sneak into the other room and get into the gift bags made for the guess.

What A Turkey!!

Oh my!! what a cute little turkey. The children made turkeys at preschool this week. Each day I cannot wait to see her and to see what they have been learning. She is learning so much at this school. These teachers are great in planning, keeping them safe, and nurturing. It has been a positive change for our family.
Aleah is so proud of her little turkey. I do not think she has named it yet. I am sure that is coming. I remember saving all of these little things that Holly made in school. She never went to preschool; however, she graduated in the 10% of her class. I am so proud of both of my girls. It makes me smile to see how God has blessed me each day.

Our Little Princesses

I cannot believe she is growing up so fast! She loves the princesses. When I picked her up from preschool today, she looked so cute with her princesses shirt and matching demin jacket. Normally by the afternoon-pick up time-, she has pulled the bow out and her hair is all over her head. She actually looked like I had just dropped her off for school. I could not wait to get home for some pictures:)

This picture is in front of the curio that is full of dolls, including princesses, that belong to Holly. I collected these dolls for Holly when she was little. Aleah wants in here so bad to play. Poor child like she does have enough to play with in her own toy box.

A Fairy has arrived at the house

It is so hard to get her to smile for the camera. This was taken before we went Trick or Treating. Her daddy had to work as usual, so we went to grandparents and friends. She actually did not want leave some of the places. She really understood how it worked this year. We meet up with her big sister, and she took her to some places. I believe she enjoyed her sister more that being with her Mom. That is ok!! I am so glad they love each other.

She is just precious in her costume as Tinker Bell. I think her cat Oreo enjoyed playing with the wand as much as Aleah has this week. I wonder what she will want to be next year for Halloween??

Need Help Folding Clothes?

One day last week Aleah said, "Mom I want to help you fold towels". "Really! Ok! This is what I found when I got back from putting another load in the dryer and the washing machine. She is GOOD!! I was impressed with her ability to fold.

This shot was after all of the hard work of folding. She is probably thinking what are you going to bring for me to fold now because I need a break from all of this work.

My Fall Collection

Aleah brought this "cutesy" little bag home from preschool this week. Evidently, they went for a walk to discover things about Fall. I could not wait to get her home to take a picture of this. In her bag she placed a pine cone she had found on her trip. I will be posting more pictures from preschool this weekend.

YUM YUM GOOD!!

We decided to get up early last Saturday morning before our Fall Break came to a close to have breakfast. Off we went to Cracker Barrel on a cool, rainy morning. It turned out great for all of us. Aleah sure did enjoy herself at the restaurant. We told her all about the old, antique things hanging on the wall and boy she have questions!! Sometimes she is a picky eater, but not this day.

Can you tell she is making sure nothing hits her plate. I have never seen her put away so much food. I hope this no reflection on my cooking!! The phrase on the shirt is so true.."Daddy's Little Pumpkin". She is such a Daddy's Girl and every girl needs her Daddy. I am so grateful that they are close. I am soo thankful for what God has done for us each and every day.

Visiting the Pumpkin Patch

Aleah had a planned field trip with her preschool to the pumkin patch. We were amazed at the things the children could do--feeding and petting animals, hay mazes, corn box, slides, hayride, and so much more. We had lunch at the patch and then I was off to work. Here are some of my favorite pictures!!

After the hay ride to the patch, Aleah found her favorite pumpkin to take home. I wonder what is going on in her little head as she looks at this scarecrow.

This is a great idea!! A corn filled box. This was Aleah's favorite event at the pumpkin patch. It would be great to have one of these at the house, and I am sure the mice, birds, and othe critters would like it even more.
I just love this picture of the three of us ..well four counting the scarecrow Shag fell in love with. It is hard to get all us together. A friend of mine came walking by and said let me take a picture all you together. I thought that was an excellent idea. So here we are all smiles:)

Look at this precious face!!

First Tailgate Party

This is a picture of Aleah at our school Tailgate Party. She played, danced, ate pizza, and helped form a human tunnel for the football players. I caught her being still for a minute and decided to get a quick picture before it all changed.

Do you see what I mean!!! This is the way it was the rest of the night. I would not want it any other way. As long as she is healthy, happy, and enjoying life, it puts a BIG :) on my face.
