The Pumpkin Patch

We experienced another GREAT trip to the Pumpkin Patch this year with preschool. First, we took a little hay ride to the pumkin patch to find that perfect pumpkin for fall. Aleah wanted a small pumpkin again this year. After the hay ride, we went through the corn maze, and guess who got lost....Aleah. She was little scared by the time we found her. Aleah had pumpkins painted on both sides of her face. Then, we had a picnic by the pond, and it was wonderful to sit down for few minutes. Finally, we decided it was time to leave. Then Aleah wanted to go through the hay maze. Well, I had go through the exit way to find her without a flashlight. Let me tell you, it was DARK. She actually took another way out through the exit, and I was still trying to find my way back out. Let's just say next time I will have a flashlight.
Hard to find the right one with this many to select from!
Not sure what they are up to!!

No way is her daddy going to get her close to the cow.

County Fair

We all went to the fair as a family on Friday. We had a great lunch at Morrison Booth, and off to the cattle barn. Shag had told Aleah the week before that a girl we know was showing a cow. Well, Aleah had to see this little girl. When we got the barn, we were asked if Aleah would like to show a cow. Of course, she had second thoughts, then finally she said ok. She had wonderful time!!

Aleah is building her confidence and trying to make friends with Big Momma.

Lesson 101 on showing....scratching her belly!!

Patiently waiting for her time!!

Still waiting patiently!!

Finally, it was her time!! This man from a county close by allowed her to help show "Big Mamma". We really did appreciate him allowing her to experience such a wonderful thing .

Zoo on Labor Day

The Saturday before Labor Day, Mom and I decided to make a trip to the zoo. Everyone else had to work. The weather was nice.... not too hot.
Aleah had to carry her baby through the zoo. She is getting ready to crawl through the hole to see the meerkats. They are so cute!!

Flamingo Lagoon is open!! This flock of flamingos are called Caribbean Flamingos. We stood for several minutes looking at these amazing birds!!

Aleah's Registration

A few pictures of Aleah's registration day. She is so excited about going back to school.

The teacher gave every student a little book on registration day.

She had to take her baby and stroller to church with her on Sunday.

How cute is this FACE!!

This is Aleah's "Partner in Crime". Oh me what these two get into while they are together!

A New Camera and a Trip to the Lake

In June my dad had surgery at Vanderbuilt Hospital, while we were there Aleah decided to look at my camera in my purse. As she looking at pictures, she accidently dropped it on the floor. I tried so hard to save it, but it didn't work. Finally, I broke down and bought a new camera which is better than the previous camera. I made pictures at the lake, which is not the best place to have a camera. The lake was rather quit with a few campers on the side and a few boats. Unfortuately, the boat was acting up so that I did not get to water ski. Oh well, maybe next year!

Mmmm. ...good Bug Juice.

I love this picture! It didn't rain at the lake, but a few miles up the road and had been raining. We have such a creative God.

Corn Day 2010

We decided to head out to the Farmers Market for CORN DAY. Of course my two wanted to get there early, because we decided to go to the lake for the first time this year. It seems that we work to much and little time to enjoy life.

Look at that face!! She had so much fun, and she blueberries, watermelon, and several pieces of corn.

Something got their attention...maybe a pan of fresh boiled corn:)

Late Posting Graduation Pictures

I am finally posting pictures of Holly's graduation in May. I had to use Mom's camera to take pictures, and then I forgot to get the card to post pictures. We were so excited for her accomplishments while working full time at the bank. Hopefully, she will transfer to a four year college to complete a four year degree. Aleah and her dad did not get to come because they were signed up for a picnic at Lake Winnie. Mom, Doug( my son-in-law), Hillary (Holly's friend), and I attended the graduation, and afterwards we all went to eat. What a wonderful time!!
