Brunch with the Bunny and Egg Hunt

I reserved a spot for Aleah to have Brunch with the Bunny. Of course her Daddy had to work, so we got Nan Ma to go with us. When we arrived Aleah got to enjoy some crafts ...paint bunny ears, putting stickers on a plastic egg, and face painting.

She decorating her egg with stickers. Oh how we look stickers!! The more the better.

I thought this young lady did a fine job painting an egg on her cheek.
She is off for her first egg hunt!! Aleah was not sure about these other children picking up eggs. She basically allowed all the others to pick up the eggs. I believe she was little shy.

These three pictures were taken after her melt down because she did not get but four eggs and she wanted to pick up 7 eggs. This is what she told Nan Ma!
Oh no, Help!! Nan Ma is about to get her.

THIS IS OUR SECOND HUNT
This hunt was after the brunch. I believe she finally got the hang of egg hunting. Let at that basket!!

Oh my!!! Her basket is full of red eggs!!

Aleah sat down and began to count to see how many she found. In each little red egg was small toys or candy. She found one egg with a number which meant she won something large.

This is the BIG prize!! Aleah has been to this egg hunt for three years and this was the first win for her . Anyone want to play golf. I believe her daddy needs to teach her how to play golf!!

Our First Circus

Mom called me and asked if we could take Aleah to the circus. I have only been to one other circus. So I said of course because this would be Aleah's first trip. She loved it ....if animals were involved lions, tigers, bears, and dogs anything else, she had no interest.

Look at the grin on Nan Tom's face. Do you think he is excited about taking Aleah to the circus.

They had elephant rides and pony rides. Aleah chose the smaller ride.. pony ride. They put her on the smallest pony, and she loved and petted that little pony.

Valentine' Day and a Puppy

It was a GREAT Valentine's Day!! My husband surprised me with dinner at Falcon Manor. I believe this was the first time we have gone out to eat on this special occasion, because I always like to cook a nice meal. Everything was wonderful the atmosphere-fire in the fireplace, table decorations, waitresses, not to mention the delicious food. They even took our picture in front of the fireplace. This is not all...I got a dozen roses, card, and candy. What else could a girl want......

This is what Aleah got for Valentine's Day. Yes! that little cream color mop looking puppy. It is the sweetest little puppy. Our other little dog, which looked a lot like this one, go killed around Thanksgiving. This little Shih-tzu/poodle mix was born Nov. 20, 2009, and he is just one precious little puppy. It does not have a name yet. Aleah has called it everything but cannot find that perfect name.

Here is how you make a snowball lesson 101!

Ok! Dad you had better watch out!

The two of them have been outside playing in the snow! I believe they have worn each other out by the way it looks.

Decorating Cards and Valentine Card Can

This was our first project for Valentine's Day. I had this old paint can and decided to decorate it for a "mailbox"- Valentine Cards container .

Our second project was decorating cards. Aleah is working hard helping stamp, write, and taping candy on the cards for the children at preschool. We had sooo much fun working on this project.

HOW CUTE!!!
I am talking about Aleah .. the can too. I made her dress back in Jan. from some material I found at Hobby Lobby. As I was going through her bows I found one that matched perfectly.

Birthday Party

Today we did not have school again because of snow. I am getting use to staying at home, and it will be hard when I have to go back. We met Mom, "Nan" Tom, Holly, and Trent at a restuarant to celebrate Tom's birthday. The men and Aleah sat at one table and talked, and the rest of us had a table of our own. We all had a great time. I am sure Tom enjoyed all of us being there for his Special Day!

Aleah is trying to talk "Nan" Tom out of his carrots in his salad. Of course he gave in and let her have everyone one of them to eat.

Thinking about what she could get into while at the restaurant.

Aleah tells me everytime we are at the mall that Santa was on that stage one time. She is exactly right.

Father giving son advice before they depart. Maybe, I am not sure what they were discussing.

Snow Day

Friday around noon we got several inches of snow. It didn't take long for the road, and the ground to become covered. Aleah and I decided it was a great time to build a snowman. The snow was perfect for rolling a snowman. When night fell, it began to sleet. Oh this was not good! Saturday we went out again, but the snow was "crunchy" ..not good for another snowman. Today (Sunday) the sun has been out. We went out for a while to get a little fresh air.

This is a view of the snow behind our house on Saturday.

These pictures were taken today!! Aleah is walking around listening to the snow crunch!
Where are your gloves!!

Wedding Reception

I have been working several days and many long hours on planning my daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception. They did not want a wedding, but a few days before they decided on a very small wedding with family and friends. So on Jan. 7 they said "I Do".
On Jan. 23 we had the reception. I had two close friends, who go to church with me, helped decorate, cook, and clean the community center. Doug's mother, aunt, and sister brought food for the occasion.

Holly sent around 50 invitations, so we did not expect about 40 people. On my goodness, we had almost 80 people come to celebrate. Each person was welcomed with open arms. Luckily, we had enough food for everyone! I am so blessed to have family and friends that support us. This was sure a GREAT experience. The cake was gorgeous!! Holly ask this lady in Manchester to make the wedding cake and the groom's cake.
